HB 290, Prohibition of Wireless Communication Device Use in a Motor Vehicle

HB 290 was made into law on March 25, 2009, this bill prohibits a person from using a handheld wireless communication device for text messaging or electronic mail communication while operating a moving motor vehicle on a highway in this state.

Basically, you can't drive and text at the same time. Also if you accidentially kill someone in a car accident due to driving while texting, it's considered a criminal homicide.

Fun stumbling into your blog, Sarah. I'm going to have to keep my eye on it for legislative updates. It was great seeing you at Holstrom's last week.
Keep on!
