And we are B A C K !

We are back in Minnesota. Utah went by in a second, I can't believe that we are already home to Minnesota (please notice that home = Minnesota, slightly strange). We are very thankful to be here and are excited to see what the future holds.

The legislative session went by much too quickly and now I am in Rochester looking for a job like a crazy person. I am hopeful that something will come up soon.

Here is a picture of our new home. We live on the bottom floor, isn't our house cute? (Dad, I posted this picture for you.)

We miss everyone in Utah, write to us!

Lake Tahoe and a wedding

My cousin Chas married this darling girl Katy, I am so excited to have her in the family! They were married in Lake Tahoe, the wedding was beautiful. Mitch was unable to come on the trip, but I had a wonderful time with my mom and her crazy cousin Leslie (Aunt Pam, you were very much missed).

While in Utah, Mitch and I went to visit my dad and Rhonda in Mesquite. It was very fun, Mitch played golf and I went running. The weather was perfect and we had a great time with them.

Denver

We went to Denver a few months ago to visit ANDI! I love her so much. We basically just ate and watched movies while visiting Andi, it was perfect. We had such a great time. We ran into my mission president and wife in the airport, what a small world. We had a chance to visit with them. Andi, we really miss you and your dog Sophie.

It was also Tyler's birthday while we are Utah.
He is oh so cute and that cake MK made was more than delicious!

Happy Birthday Mom!

While in Utah we were able to celebrate my mom's birthday!!
She is the greatest and I love her so much!

MAC l i p s t i c k

Growing up (I should say since high school) my dear mother would always try and encourage me to wear makeup. She would leave little presents on my bed and Santa still gives me makeup in my stocking every year. She ends up taking most of the makeup back because I hardly ever us it.

For my wedding, I decided to buy some lipstick. You should have seen me at the MAC counter, I was about to have a breakdown every second because I couldn't find a color that wasn't too bold but just bold enough. Luckily, someone I know works there and she saved me just in time.

As most of you know I am working up at the Capitol during the legislative session. After being asked for the 357th time if I am an intern, I decided it was time to wear lipstick. And let me tell you, it worked.

Lipstick = Sarah not looking like an intern.

MAC is my favorite, thank you Jenna and Lara.

The imp and a dozen eggs

I feel off the back of an imp (snowcat) this weekend.
The driver (my husband) didn't know I fell off
and accidentally ran me over
(the imp also got stuck on top of me and I thought to myself, "this is how I will die").
Spent most of Friday night in the ER.
Came out with only bruises and a very sore back.
No broken bones.
The doctor called me "squishy" referring to my strong and flexible bones.

We feel blessed, lucky...it's a miracle.

Loves,

Sj

P.S. as for the dozen eggs, they were also in the crash and not one broke.

Uncle Kevin.

My Uncle Kevin passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago.
I miss him terribly.
My cousin read the poem below at his funeral.
I thought I would share it out of respect and my love to him.

He is missed.

All Is Well

Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It it the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
