should be sleeping...

it's currently 12:13 am and i should be sleeping.  i just walked in the door, i can hardly wait to get in my bed and go to bed as quickly as possible.  today was almost like death at work, my eyes were so tired, they almost couldn't stay open.  in fact i had to stop at 7 eleven and buy a dr. pepper.  don't get me wrong, dr. pepper is ever so tasty but i don't like the fact that i think i need it to survive a tired day.

today, i had an opening experience, not an eye-opening experience more a of realization.  i almost lost it at the end of the day.  everything went wrong.  my email wouldn't send...now this may not seem frustrating to most of you.  but to me, i was so excited to walk out the Capitol cafeteria and be outside in the most beautiful weather.  i was rather thrilled that my meeting ended a little early.  i kept on thinking to myself....this is so great, i can send a couple of emails and i will be outside just in time to catch the last of sunlight.  instead i spent one entire hour working to send a rather lengthy and detailed email and it erased.  can you imagine, my frustration was at an ultimate high.

luckily the email finally sent.  thank goodness.  and because i have such an awesome roommate, she went running with me, that way i was able to run a few minutes in the dark.  we ran along the shoreline trail.  now, back to the opening experience.  i think sometimes, we all...myself included, become obsessed with something or put too much of our time towards one thing and forget to find a balance.  i will the first to admit....i am in love with my work...maybe too much?  is that possible? no.  well, i have come to realize more and more that life is about doing what makes you happy.  i will admit, works makes me happy...yikes.  but as i was running at the top of the shoreline trail with ash....i felt free (jenna you know what i mean)....i felt perfect happiness as i looked across the good old salt lake valley, at the mountains behind me, one of my best friends at my side, and i was running.  what more could i want.....not too much.  so, if i could leave all of my readers (i know there are not many) with one little thought for the evening, it would be to have a balance and do what makes you happy and feel joy.  ok, it's time for me to sleep...how exciting...tomorrow is saturday...i love saturdays.

sleep well my friends.

and oh, i am obsessed with one tv show...i don't even have a tv, i watch it on the internet...how embarrassing.  ha.  also, it's almost easter and that means my all-time favorite candy has been put on the store shelves.  hurry, go an buy yourself a package of the cadbury purple bag small chocolate eggs...before you know they will be gone.

goodnight.

Oatmeal twice in a row....

low on food...eating oatmeal for the second time today...delicious.
And have you seen the snow outside? On days like this one, I wish that my life was a little more like cj's. I am thankful for the snow, I wish I was in the snow. Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful to have a job. But have you seen the snow?

Life.....

Life has been good to me these past few weeks. The time is going by much more quickly than I ever really want. The weekends are full of skiing on Saturdays and spending quality time with the family on Sundays. Last weekend my friends and I went to watch ski competitions at Deer Valley, it was impressive.

I feel lucky to be where I am in my life. I am constantly surrounded by good people who make me happy and want to be a better person.

I just wanted to tell Rachel Happy Birthday tomorrow. I love you Rach!! Also, Andi is home from the middle east...I can hardly wait to see her, two more days until she is in Salt Lake.

I hope all is well.

loves,

sj
